This week, UK Transport Minister Norman Baker has praised Nottingham City Council and the tram consortium for the project’s efficiency in light of a 25 % reduction in Government funding.
Mr Baker confirmed the UK government’s commitment to investment in electrified rail transport and emphasised its efforts to devolving power to local authorities to produce cost-effective, energy-efficient transport solutions that benefit local residents
